Project Details

This program consists of an excursion to a nature retreat. The aim of this program is to introduce inner city youth basic survival skills so they can thrive later in life. Our instructors will be outdoorsmen, hunters, and former military personnel.

Name: SCREAM Empower Youth Initiative (SEYI)

Mission: To cultivate self-reliance, teamwork, and servant leadership among youth through experiential learning, community service, and collaborative projects.

Target Age Group: 10-18 years old

Program Structure

Self-Reliance Module

Workshops and Training:

Life Skills: Camping, Fishing, basic home repairs, and time management.

Goal Setting: Techniques for setting and achieving personal goals.

Activities:

Independent Projects: Students choose a project that interests them and work on it over a set period.

Reflection Sessions: Regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

Team Collaboration Module

Workshops and Training:

Communication Skills: Active listening, effective speaking, and non-verbal communication.

Conflict Resolution: Techniques for resolving disputes amicably.

Team Dynamics: Understanding roles within a team and how to work effectively together.

Activities:

Group Projects: Collaborative projects that require planning, execution, and teamwork.

Team-Building Exercises: Activities designed to build trust and cooperation among participants.

Servant Leadership Module

Workshops and Training:

Leadership Principles: Understanding the principles of servant leadership and how to apply them.

Community Engagement: The importance of giving back and how to get involved in community service.

Ethical Decision Making: How to make decisions that benefit the greater good.

Mentorship Program: Pairing participants with mentors who exemplify servant leadership.
